Introducing Fueled to Perform

Hi my name is Courtney Therrien (Coach Court) and I am the owner of Fueled to Perform, LLC. I am an Officer in the US Army Reserves, Certified Personal Trainer and Nutrition Coach, I have been working one-on-one with clients since 2016 and I specialize in Behavior Change, TRX Training, and Tactical Fitness.

The story behind Fueled to Perform:

April 2020, I was furloughed from my in person training job due to COVID, bored out of my mind and truly missing working with clients. Right before graduating from my undergrad in May I made the decision to start my own business, and named it Coach Court Wellness. I started training a few friends and family members at a low rate just to fill my time and my heart. I had no idea what I was doing with the online platform. Honestly, I thought it was a short term side gig. But like most other things in my life, I dove in and figured it out on my own.

After months of training in person again at a local private personal training studio in Denver, diving deeper into my values as a trainer while exploring my personal and professional mission, I decided to re-brand. I wanted a brand more appealing to both men and women, beginners, more advanced individuals and tactical athletes. I spent weeks writing words and phrases and drawing on blank pieces of paper and in notes on my phone.

For years I have used a car analogy when it comes to nutrition, saying “You can’t get far in a car without fuel right? Then why would you try to accomplish more without fueling your body?” or “You wouldn’t put 87 octane in a diesel truck and expect it to run well, fuel yourself with high quality foods”. On top of that I knew that exercise meant so much more to me and my clients. It was about confidence, movement, and performance.

Eventually I landed on Fueled to Perform. 

Fueled to Perform (FTP) is an online Personal Training and Nutrition Coaching company. Fueled to Perform aims to teach the world that food is fuel through healthy long-term habits that create a positive relationship with food, and by guiding clients to confident daily performance in and out of the gym with personalized exercise video feedback.

As a FTP client you receive a training and nutrition program customized to your life and goals, bi-weekly or monthly one-on-one coaching calls, daily communication and feedback, access to our training app, and constant access to educational content.

What’s next for Fueled to Perform?

My overarching goal is to create a strong community of FTP clients, and provide clients with unlimited resources, tools and accountability to be successful long-term. Fueled to Perform will soon launch a Minimal equipment ACFT Training plan for Army soldiers preparing for the new test. I have a few other projects in the works, but for now those will stay a secret.
